As part of the “2025 – Year of Cooperatives” initiative, we visited the EkoDoku Sustainable Living Cooperative with the spouses of foreign mission representatives and our members.
We learned about this award-winning initiative, its work in preserving cultural heritage, supporting social benefit, and promoting sustainable production, as well as its Peace Silk project and training programs involving Syrian women in Hatay.
We also experienced traditional handicrafts such as ‘çarpana’ and ‘kilim’ weaving, as well as linden printing.
We thank the EkoDoku family for their warm hospitality and wish continued success to all initiatives supporting women’s labor.
