DMEDD is governed by two main bodies: the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board.
Within the Executive Board, there are six committees operating in different areas of responsibility.
Executive Board
Secretariat
Maintains the Association’s official records (excluding Budget, Final Accounts, and Balance Sheet Books).
Manages official correspondence and prepares Board meetings.
Prepares newsletters in English and Turkish.
Updates and manages the DMEDD website and social media platforms.
Prepares for the Annual General Assembly and ensures required notifications are submitted afterward.
Social Committee
Promotes social interaction among members and between members and the diplomatic community in Ankara.
Organizes wide-reaching social activities, including the traditional DMEDD Bazaar, bringing together members, scholarship students, and foreign mission representatives.
Academy Committee
Promotes Turkish culture, language, art and traditions.
Organizes lectures, cultural tours, concerts, exhibitions, and workshops for DMEDD members and members of foreign diplomats living in Ankara.
Solidarity Committee
Manages the application and selection process for DMEDD scholarships.
Maintains ongoing communication with scholarship recipients.
Organizes educational and social activities for scholarship holders.
Coordinates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the official Commemoration Ceremony for Our Martyrs.
Social Assistance Committee
Evaluates requests for social assistance
Delivers aid to eligible applicants.
Monitors ongoing social responsibility projects.
Develops new project proposals and presents them to the Executive Board.
Finance Committee
Advises on the efficient and responsible use of the Association’s resources.
Ensures proper bookkeeping and financial records in coordination with the Association’s financial advisor.
Supervisory Board
Ensures that the Association operates in line with its charter and stated objectives.
Reviews the accuracy of accounts, records, and legal compliance.
Conducts audits at least once a year and reports findings to Executive Board and when convened, to the General Assembly
