We witnessed how a step taken in solidarity after the 1999 Marmara Earthquake grew into a loving educational home filled with children’s smiles. We visited the kindergarten built by our Association (and named after our founder, Mina Özdoğancı) as a safe home for children who lost their parents in the earthquake. In the school, the students and teachers welcomed us with open arms.
We were delighted to learn that this kindergarten, with its child-centered design and expansive green garden, has become one of the most beloved and preferred model schools in the region-something we felt in the joy of every child and teacher we met.
During our visit, just after April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, the children brought the festive spirit to life with their vibrant performances.
We were delighted to present books and educational materials, generously donated by our supporters under theme “Each Book Opens a New World”, helping to open new horizons for young minds.
We gratefully remembered the former members of the board and donors who contributed to this meaningful project.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the school administration and officials for this memorable day.
