In recognition of our Association’s work and the warm cooperation and friendship fostered between our two cultures, The Hungarian Ambassador, Victor Matis, and his gracious wife, Mrs. Selina Sager, kindly hosted a special concert for our members.
The evening highlighted the friendship between Béla Bartók— influential composer and ethnomusicologist, renowned for his studies on Turkish folk music -and distinguished Turkish composer Ahmet Adnan Saygun. Saygun Quartet’s impressive performance, comprising Hungarian and Turkish musicians, provided the guests with unforgettable moments.
During the concert held at the beautifully restored Embassy Residence, which preserves its historic character and houses Bartók’s piano, we witnessed meaningful moments where music and history intertwined.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ambassador and to our dear friend Selina, a supporter of DMEDD, for their kind hospitality at this special event.
