At the conference, issues affecting diplomatic families, employment rights of diplomats’ spouses, educational opportunities and professional integration were discussed, alongside an evaluation of the findings of the reports prepared by the EUFASA working groups.

The case studies by New Zealand, Canada and Ukraine were among the notable presentations. 

We had the opportunity to reconnect with Mrs. Tetyana Sybiha, the spouse of Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. We were especially delighted to hear her speak so warmly about DMEDD’s initiatives during her husband’s tenure as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Ankara, in front of fellow participants.

Having maintained close ties with EUFASA since 1998, we remain committed to strengthening this relationship. This year, we also began the process of applying for membership under EUFASA’s newly established observer status.
